There has been a lot of talk about the direction of the Republican Party. Many call them a lost party…some have gone as far as to say that the party is in danger of becoming irrelevant forever.
I wish this was the case, but it will likely not be. It is just not how politics go.
The Republican Party will likely win back either the House or Senate in 2010. At the very least, both houses will become significantly more balanced. There are entirely too many risky things going on for the Democrats not to get dirty in the next two years.
Plus, keep in mind that McCain with all of the mistakes that he made…with the selection of his VP candidate…with all of things that went wrong under Bush still won 46% of the vote…
So for Democrats, enjoy it, but it will eventually come to an end.
Just like UK basketball, Republicans unfortunately won’t suck forever!
With that said, I could be wrong. The South never rose again…
